Owner Flavia’s family originates from the picturesque Italian village of Anticoli Corrado. This charming locale has attracted artists, sculptors and poets since the nineteenth century and is renowned for its exquisite, locally produced olive oil.
When artist Percy Sturdee stayed there in the 1880s and recounted his experience in The Scottish Art Review, he proclaimed “nothing could equal the beauty of the scene which meets your eyes on this journey… it seemed as if I were arrived into the delectable country for which lovers sigh and of which poets dream.”
